Below is a list of upcoming shows and gallery openings taking place at the Nazareth Center for the Arts. You can also view these in calendar format.
To purchase tickets for upcoming shows, visit the online Box Office or Mitch's Market in Nazareth (on the corner of New and Belvidere Streets).
August Gallery features Mary Jane Lahr, and gallery hours are Tuesday and Saturday from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
September Gallery features the art work of Nessa Grainger and Jacqueline Meyerson. Nessa Grainger’s work is a combination of watercolor, mixed media and collage. Jacqueline Meyerson is a pastel artist whose work can be described as photo realism. Both are members of the Lehigh Valley Art Alliance and have won many awards. A reception will be held on Sunday, September 12, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The jazz trio "Fuzed" will be performing during the reception.
October Gallery features collaborative artwork by area artists. The pieces will be sold at an auction benefiting the Center on Sunday, October 24, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Nina Sings will perform several sets throughout the afternoon.
PLEASE NOTE: The Saturday Showcase Series (all Saturday events 9/11 - 12/4) are $10.00 per ticket and you can purchase a twelve ticket pass for $60.00.
The Doucette Quartet. The Doucette family siblings will perform a classical music string quintet featuring Joseph, violin, Caleb, cello, (the two performed at the Center during the Holiday House Tour), Hannah, violin, and David, viola.
Brown Daub Chevy of Nazareth presents, "The Thrill on the Hill" featuring Wailing Waters, Magic Bean and Jimmy and the Parrots. This special event will take place at the Nazareth Borough Park amphitheater to support the Nazareth Center for the Arts.
Tickets are $5.00 available at our online box office and at Mitch's Market and the Cool Treats Refreshment Stand at the Borough Park.

Brown Daub Chevy of Nazareth will have tickets available in their showroom and will give them away at no charge up to 4 tickets per person (located on 191 in Nazareth by the Speedway).
Modulator Experimental Synthesis Project, a.k.a. Modulator ESP, performs improvised music that explores the boundaries of dark ambient, drone, Berlin School sequencing, and noise using modular synthesis, real-time sampling, sound manipulation, and live looping.
Modulator ESP has been described variously as "vintage synth overload to propel you into the outer reaches of the cosmos" and "one man will descend to (this) earth in a hail of analogue synth tones; called upon from the singular consciousness of John Carpenter and Vangelis - like a 2046 dystopian dream with the optimism of Jean Michael Jarre, and his penguins."
Jesse Ruben returns to the Lehigh Valley. Heavily influenced by classic singer/songwriters like Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, Jesse has two recorded two cd's Aiming for Honesty and The Ones That Matter. You can watch a video of him performing here.

Gar Francis. Gar has been performing and entertaining audiences for years. He plays 60s hits, blues, and Americana. As a singer/songwriter, Gar has received awards for songwriting from The John Lennon Song Contest, the Unisong Music Awards, and an Honorable Mention in the Billboard Song Contest.

Dick Boak, Director of Artist Relations, Martin Guitar, and Craig Thatcher who performs solo, with the Craig Thatcher Band and accompanies Simone on guitar return to the Center. Their first performance drew over 75 people. Expect to hear this guitar duo perform blues, rock and maybe spontaneity. Watch a performance from their first show.
Megan Lee is an acoustic guitar solo performer who played at the Center's stage during Martin on Main and her short set was such a pleasant surprise we asked her to come back for a full show this fall. Learn more about Megan Lee on her Web site: http://www.meganleemusic.com/.
Berks County, PA natives Peggy and Eric Gernerd are the musical duo, MAGGIE SPIKE. MAGGIE SPIKE are singer/songwriters whose music takes you to a place where melody, rhythm, harmony and poignant lyrics converge to create a sound that is easily accessible and highly entertaining. Their latest CD is Sol Paradise. Free Admission.
The Jones Sisters. Two girls, two guitars, harmony driver acoustic rock. Karen and Amy now reside in Philadelphia and perform there regularly, but they'll return home to the Lehigh Valley for this show. "Exceptional songwriting, solid...acoustic guitar over beautiful vocals. This is a rare and sure to rise musical duo." - Tom Malm, Concert Promoter & Industry Veteran.

Phyllis Chapell plays and sings great songs from all over the world. Her repertoire features songs in 12 languages from Brazil, Latin America, Europe, Israel, and the U.S. Her 3-octave vocals are supported and complemented by her acoustic guitar play, capturing the essence of musical styles from percussive Brazilian sambas and explosive flamenco rumbas to elegant classical arias, folk, jazz and original ballads. Phyllis was recently named one of the top 500 jazz vocalists of all time.

Trevor Gordon Hall returns to the Center. The guitar virtuoso and Revel recording artist, again brings his unique, 'experiential' sound to the Center. Trevor's pieces range in sound from edgy, driving rhythms to sweet melodic phrases. http://www.trevorgordonhall.com/

Jeff Coulter and Harrison McKay are the Tangent Project.
Eleven year old singing sensation Eva Blankenhorn will make one of her final performances before going into the studio to record her first full length CD. She's been touring the fairs, performed with The Badlees, and opened for Miranda Lambert. http://www.evakatherine.com/

Storyteller Larry Sceurman will tell ghost stories in this family friendly pre-Halloween event. Free Admission.
An acoustic performance by American Idol Season 9 contestant and Nazareth resident Tyler Grady and his Wailing Waters band-mate Travis Hobbie.

The Little Red Rooster Blues Band returns to perform their high energy sound through interpretations of traditional Chicago Blues and West Coast Jump Blues. Their performance mission is simple: To entertain and leave them hungry for more. http://www.littleredrooster.com/

The Pennsylvania Guitar Quintet performs a range of styles including classical music, jazz, flamenco guitar, and the blues. The diversity of the ensemble als spans many eras. Performing will be Frank Flandorffer, Sr., Michael Baer, Sean Bach, Thomas Mondschein, and Heath Hitchcock.

Dynamic Duo featuring Jake Kaligis and Michael Rauscher, play two acoustic Martin guitars and switch off vocalizing leads and harmonies. While steeped in the American music of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan they are also heavily influenced by the "British Invasion" era of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Nazareth's folk rock band Magic Bean return to perform original and cover music. They will also be drawing the winning ticket of the Martin OM-1 fundraising raffle benefiting the Center. The band is working on their first CD, learn more: http://www.myspace.com/magicbeanband

Chuck Van Zyl has been making his own unique style of electronic music since 1985. Seeing creativity as a component of his own personal spirituality, van Zyl's realizations are fueled by everything from music technology to a greater cosmic awareness. His musical sensibilities evoke a sense of discovery, with each concert marking a new frontier of sound.
